I am attempting to send a Reverse Image message to a users message que with the SNDMSG command. I am attempting to put the 'X21' attribute (Green Reverse Image) on the message so that the message appears in Reverse Image and stands out for the user. I have seen this done before but cannnot remember how to accomplish it.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

To do this you define single character data fields (&1, &2, etc) in your message description where you want the attributes to go.

Then when sending the message data, specify the colour/display attribures in the message data itself.

For example:

ADDMSGD MSGID(COL0001)
MSGF(MYMSGF)
MSG(‘&1This should be highlighted’)
FMT((*CHAR 1))

to add the message to your message file and then

SNDPGMMSG MSGID(COL0001) MSGF(MYMSGF) MSGDTA(X’21′)

to send it.
