We have a PHP application that use to bash scripts / provide a username and password for remote systems. Currently, we're trying to find a place to store these records that can be accessible by the PHP. We're thinking of NoSQL but the problem is that the hashing / storing of these credentials is not reversible. We need to be able to get these credentials out of unencrypted clear text and then insert the data into bash scripts. Does anyone know how we should go about this? Should we PKI the credentials?
