Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Go to control panel, click mails and go to profiles tab, there you can find an option to assign a password to open your inbox.

The user has already entered some authentication, when they logged into the computer. Windows takes that authentication and passes it to the Exchange Server when outlook is opened. If there is no Exchange account found under that users name they will be prompted with an authentication dialog box.

go to the control panel ->mail->email accounts. click on the change button, then click on the more settings button. Under the security tab, click the box for Always prompt for username and password. Same for 2003 and 2007.

    hi,

I am getting only name option, not getting any option to enter the password..

I want that whenever I open the outlook, it must be asked user name and password to access it..
