Just to be certain... Your question subject asks about &quot;viewing&quot; a .PDF, but the text of the question asks about &quot;in the file&quot;.

Are you wanting to stop people from &lt;i&gt;looking at&lt;/i&gt; the .PDF or from &lt;i&gt;updating&lt;/i&gt; a .PDF? Maybe you&#039;re trying to get a kind of work-flow problem solved.
