A QM query is a compiled object of type *QMQRY. Compiled objects do not reside in source files; they reside in libraries.   A QM query might have been created from source with the CRTQMQRY command. If it was, then you can use the DSPOBJD command with the OBJTYPE(*QMQRY) and DETAIL(*SERVICE) parameter values to see what source file and member names were used.   If it was directly created within the STRQM function, then there was no source. However, you can generate source from the compiled query with the RTVQMQRY command. The command can be used against any compiled QM query.   Tom

I am using RTVQMQRY, but it is asking for SRCFILE.   Of course it is. You have to tell it where to put the source. The command can't guess where you want the source to be put.   Tom
