Change your password to nothing. So you just have to press enter to get to the desktop. There is a change password button when you press CTRL+ALT+DELETE.

********
Of course you have to KNOW the current password in order to change it to something else...

There's a software application called ERD commander, it'll help you remove the password. boot up from the disc
follow the prompts. if you happen to get a 2003 version or later, you can remove or reset windows 2003 passwords
well. hope this helps

Make sure the computer is not a member of a domain or under Group Policy, or else, it will prevent it to remove the password.

Follow the instructions fromMicrosoft Help and Support >>> http://support.microsoft.com/kb/234562

Hi there,

I am assuming you are already in the system and simply want to remove the password, as opposed to being locked out and wanting to remove the password, correct? Please be as specific about the problem as you can so your peers can better help you.

Thanks,
Jenny

Is this your system? Have you gotten in before? Is this server on a domain? Do you have authorized access to it?
