How can I permit relaying from hosted domains?
I am running Exchange Server 2003 under Server 2000. I am hosting several domains in addition to my primary domain. I want the users of thewse domains to be able to send messages from their domains. Right now they get "relaying not allowed" messages when they try to send mail outside of their domains. Is there a way I can allow them to do this without becoming an open relay. Thanks for any help.

Answer Wiki:
Hi Have you tried using a SMTP Smarthost? Normally you can send all mail to your domain host / internet service provider.... you may have to give them your IP so they can allow you to relay through there smarthost server.. OK I did a liitle search and come up with this link http://www.christopherlewis.com/ATT_SMTP_Config.htm It should help... if your service provider will allow you to use their smarthost by just giving them your external IP you dont need to worry about Authentication... otherwise you will have to get them to give you username / password and follow the instructions in the link. Hope it helps Thanks Steven Mahaffey

Hello
Do a search on exchange 2000 default policy.
I found a good article that I think will help you.
Go to : http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/MF010.html
I believe this will help you in setting up multiple domains on one SBS server.
Hope this helps
