Kevin is correct. The question is very broad in order to answer it. Are you talking about a HTTP session from a particular application? or generally maintaining any type of HTTP session so that it doesn't timeout?

Because the HTTP and TCP transport protocols have a number of mechanisms in place that cover network application , you must provide us with more information about your questions.

HTTP is stateless meaning that requests and responses have to be made for each communications session. Your question is very broad. What are you trying to accomplish?
