 How can I copy records from a Physical file to Excel Sheet ?
CPYFRMIMPF, CPYFRMSTMF, CPYTOIMPF, CPYTOSTMF
I would like to know about copying records from a physical File to Excel sheet , Can any one brief me in this regards ? Eg: I have a PF called ATMLIB/ATMTRA. EXC.XLS is a Excel Book . Now this is the situation . I am working on V4R4M0. I would like to know on this version whether it can be possible or not ? Same in reverse also from Excel to PF .

Hi Chrisjam, You can copy records from Iseries to excel by using Iseries utility(Data transfer from Iseries). this option is available in Tool bar. by using (Data transfer from Iseries) utilty u can do vice versa or you can configure your excel application with iseries to trasfer data to or from iseries into excel by following bellow steps: 1. Go to Add or remove bottons option in excel 2. Click on customize option. 3. Click on Toolbars option. 4. Go to end and tick iseries access option and close now you can directly copy records from excel to iseries or copy records from iseries to excel by clicking two buttons on top of excel sheet. i hope this information helps you Regards, Mohan K
