How can I connect my local machine to the SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition?? I can't even run the local service instance

Answer Wiki:
You can't connect directly to the database. You will need to use some sort of client tool to connect to the database. Microsoft Access is a fine front end if that is what you have available. You can also install the SQL Server Management Studio on your machine and use that to connect to and query the database server.
