 How can connetct to Exchange server 2003 from a pop3 or Imap client!!!!??

Hi I have an application that acts as a pop3 or imap client just I should configure it corrrectly that can connetct to my exchange server 2003!!!! but when I set the address or the name of my exchange server for it as incoming pop3 or imap mail server and as outgoing mail server(smtp protocol) and send a test it gets an error message that couldn't log onto incoming mail server!!!!! I test it in Microsoft outlook and outlook express by the same setting but again this problem occurred!!!! but when I set for Microsoft outlook that use Microsoft exchange server in stead of pop3 server or others every thing is correct and work properly!!!! In my Exchange sever 2003 both of the pop3 service and imap service are started!!!! but when I typed in command prompt netstat -na there isn't 110 or 143 port listening!!!!! I checked my firewall(isa server 2006) I poblished pop3 server and imap server traffic from external to my mail server!!!! what is the problem!!!!!?? any idea!!??? thank you. --- Regards Mahnaz
