 How Backup exec 12.5 can use equallogic snapshot service
Backup Exec, Backup Exec 12.5, EqualLogic, EqualLogic Auto Snapshot Manager
How I can get transportable snapshots created by Dell/EqualLogic Auto Snapshot manager to be used by Symantec Backup Exec 12.5 for backing up our data. I am looking for procedure that can help me in this issue. I looked on Symantec and Dell site but can’t find anything on it.

The process discussed here includes the use of EqualLogic Auto-Snapshot Manager/Microsoft Edition for the VSS functions while Symantec Backup Exec controls the snapshot and restores. We have BE 12.5 with the ADBO option. We have BE creating snapshots and its working. However, we are going directly to tape to save storage space.

If the tape drive is in use, the job does not run. Is there a way to make BE create the snapshot and wait for the tape drive?
