Hooking a Brocade DS-16B2 switch to an IBM FastT mini hub

DataCenter

I would like to know if it is possible to connect my Brocade switches to my FastT mini hub. Also what steps should be followed to prevent any problems. Yesterday I hooked the switches to two ports on the mini hub and brought down the hosts that were attached directly above the switch connections. Before I hooked the Brocades up I verified that there were no systems zoned for the ports that were used. Any help would be appreciated.

Why did you attach it to 2 ports, this would create a loop and probably any single broadcast will bring the entire network down. Just attach on port from the switch to one port in the hub, you might need a cross over cable to do so. see the manuals of both the switch and the hub to see if either of them has an uplink port.
