 HMC question
I have a 9406-520 with v6.1.3 installed on the HMC. It has SF240_358 loaded as the activated level and installed level, but I can't seem to get it to become the accepted level. The accepted level still says SF240_219. When I IPL the iSeries, I get the Hypervisor changes not allowed message. Any suggestions on how to get the HMC to SF240_358 accepted level? Thanks for your input!

Answer Wiki:
It sounds like you need a firmware update. Version 6.. is subject to all kinds of problems. You shoud update your firmware and get to at least 7.2.1 or higher.

I believe you have to upgrade the HMC and the service processor firmware at the same time. Service processor being in your 520.

Take a look at this document from IBM. It might help.
