What’s the best way to rearranging a nested distribution group in Exchange Server

Hello everyone, I would like to know the best and fastest way to resolving or rearranging a nested distribution group. I have a number of distribution groups that are nested one under another due to bad previous practices, my task is to rearrange everything so that there wont be any more that 3 subset. Please help this is my first time dealing with destruction group and Exchange. any tool and tricks to make the task easier will do

    Do you have an audit of the Exchange server ACL's that these Nested groups might be used for?

    Are these Exchange only groups? if not what else might these be used for.
