 help with Trusted Certificate
I have a web VPN access Trusted Root Certificate that needs to be imported in order for a user to login to the webVPN and then access their information from there. Is there a way for me to setup a policy that will automatically publish the certificate for the user rather then walking them the steps to import it. Everytime X user login to different machine, he/she will have to import the certificate cause the PC doesn't know about it. Any help would be appreciated

Answer Wiki:
You would have to purchase a certificate from a trusted vendor like VeriSign or Thawte and use that certificate for your VPN.

ok, maybe i mistyped the question … i have purchase the certificate. When i try to access the website (for example … https://192.168.0.180) i have to import the certificate to my IE in Trusted root certificates before i can go any further. Is there a way for me to push the certificate automatically rather then importing it manually.

thanks

I see the problem here. The certificate is only valid for the exact URL specified. If you use 192.168.0.180, but your certificate is registered for say http://www.URL.com, the certificate does not apply.

Use the registered URL to access your VPN and you won’t have any certificate problems.
