I have lost the facilities to completely remove a wireless connection router ... LOL
Some time ago I do remember doing this task, but I have worn this path down to rock running in circles on this one trying to find & remove it.
---From control panel/network & sharing/manage Wireless I get to "manage" networks using that router...but no networks shown & I want to remove/reset that router association on this laptop
-click add network & in range gets me to a 'connect-to" screen listing "that" router {that has an active Sprint usb modem plugged into it-also=being used & connected to by the gateway in the recent past}
---from control panel/network connections I can disable but not remove nor adjust the settings of this listed router. right click to see properties will show the 'connection uses' items box.
---at one point I did attempt to go with renaming this & create a new wireless connect, but hit a wall when pc would not auto establish & offered up the usb to my router option for settings. This is not an option. I/they just have the bytes in disarray here in gatewayVille !!
Any work arround suggestions...
oh, yes there is a sprint dialer package onboard the gateway, yes the wifi/wireless switch is off.
Any good hints/clues/suggestions or work-thru....??
thanks -
