Have only one NIC on my server 2008 but shows that I have more than one active connections

Hi, I have only one NIC card on my server 2008, it is not connected with the internet, when I try to resolve it shows that there are more than one active connections on my computer. I checked in "Manage Network Connections" there was only only connection. Regards, Prabu

    I am not sure but it seems that it may be a ghost /hidden NIC..... which is somehow assigned prior without ur knowledge. however it is just a guess! u can just try to overcome this issue..... Click start > run and type cmd & press enter/ OK; now type as: set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1 & again press enter, now exit from cmd again type devmgmt.msc in start> run & click OK now click view menu & point ur mouse on Show Hidden Devices Click the +(lplus) symbol of network adapter tree and observe with carefully while u right-click the dimmed network adapter and click uninstall. Restart is not required, but for safe reboot the 2008 server
