As you state that you used a computer everyone can have access to (Internet cafe) You should not login to your email from a computer that belongs to an internet cafe! Anyone can download their keylogger or trojan on the computer that can send information about what you typed, which browser you opened and more to the hacker.

Didn’t you think for a second that a computer anyone can have access to has a high chance of having spyware? Well next time you better be careful.

No I am not an expert.  How do I know-because I was using the pc at an internet cafe. I then got an email from the company concerned saying they had me on cctv on that computer.  My email address was previously hacked. The answer to the rest is no. Please help terrified of being blamed

It's possible though not likely. Other than "is it possible?", do you have some question or problem that you need help with? -- Tom

There is no point in asking how it could be done. But you shouldn't pay any attention to any such e-mails. Quite possibly, you shouldn't even have opened it since you had no reason to expect such a communication. Perform a full malware scan and otherwise ignore it. It's not likely to be valid. -- Tom

I still don't understand what you could be blamed of.  It really sounds as a joke to me.

Yes, I concur with Tom, Never pay any attention to such kind of mails. Better delete this type of mail before opening, minutely read the subject line (some times may be subject line empty) and try to understand the meaning/ try to extract what does it mean (from subject line) if it relevant then open else simply delete this mail. Never open any unknown mail. One more thing as u surfing at an Internet cafe, tell the owner/ who cares this cafe to change ur PC and observe what happens, as suspected some virus related probs r there too.
