Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

you wish to stop the running of all files with the extension of .EXE

> first of all if a computer was configured/ software to stop the running of this extension it would stop all activity leaving you on a desktop without being able to preform any actions

-If your problem is with users then instead you can configure the accounts limiting their abilities;
>so that they cant install
>restrictions on web
>etc.

im not directly aware of any software that will allow a person to stop all .exe activity because it would stop the programs activity. I would suggest looking into possible permissions for users rather then further exploring the option of shutting down all activity on the pc.

Maybe if i new more about the situation i could assist better

I think what you’re trying to do is keep the guest user from doing any installs or running any new .exe files. Is that correct? If so, when creating the acct in the user profile, set the acct permissions to restricted. This will allow them to usee the pc but not install any programs. They will be allowed read access but will noit be able to make any changes to the pc.

Hope this helps
