Group Policy and IE proxy settings.
I'm looking into a problem that I have noticed with setting the proxy settings for users to access the internet. The policy sets a proxy server/port and also uses the bypass proxy for local addresses and defines those internal DNS names not to proxy. If I change the DNS name from proxy.xxx.xxx to anything or if I turn off the proxy setting or any other change, the policy is not resetting the settings. I can reboot the system or refresh the policies with the /force and the correct settings are not applied. Shouldn't the policy at refresh interval (default) change any reconfigured settings that differ from the policy?

Is it possible that a policy higher up in the chain is being applied? Did you mistakenly set the proxy in two different places?
