Q:
Green data center: Advice on topology; resources
We are embarking on a 3 year project to modernize one of our data centers in New Jersey.  Does anyone have any idea where I can get information or recommend any books about the optimal design / layout for the facility – especially to comply with some of the green initiatives we have internally?

Check out the EIA/TIA 942 standard. Here’s a good place to start. With something this big you may want to consider hiring a data center consultant to help you out.
