 GPUpdate from a local admin account? Is it possible
domain account, GPUPDATE, Group Policy, Local Administrators Account
Do you have to be signed in as a domain account to use GPUpdate or can it be done from a local admin account?

You have to do it from a domain account. If the domain account is also a local admin that is ok, but not if it is only a local admin.

As per my experience even we can use the command “gpupdate” with local admin account but the workstation should be in domain.
