I have 4 windows 7 users using GM6.7 over a network and have not had a single problem in 6 months. GM6.7 is installed on a shared drive on another XP machine on the network. all I had to do was create a desktop shortcut to the executable on the shared drive and it runs first time.
however I now want to install it locally on some win7 laptops and that is proving more difficult. The installer does not complete and says GM6.7 is not compatible with the operating system. I am considering either
Trying the XP compatibilty mode or
I might try just copying all the files over and running the executable. It probably cant be that simple but as it works with just a shorcut to an executable on a network drive it might be worth a try.
Copy directly the whole Goldmine folder and make a shortcut for Goldmine 6.7 to desktop and run it. Do not try to install the program only copy.
