If you have a copy of Norton Ghost, you need to boot the PC with the Windows XP installation you want to image from a boot CD. Most CD burning software contains an option to create a bootable CD.
This CD should either contain a copy of the Ghost software, or boots so that it connects to a network resource holding the software.
You will also need a target location to store the image - an external USB/Firewire disc or a network connection to a suitable disc.

This program from Ease US is very easy to use and very stabile (in my experience anyway) FREE alternative to Ghost. They also have a free program for managing HD partitions called EASEUS Partition Manager Home Edition I've used this one and have found it very easy to use.
Good Luck!

Also, if you have dos bootable copy Norton Ghost on it and boot using the same
run the ghost utility and save GHOST image on other partition of hard drive
so in case if you have an issue with computer. boot using dos bootable and restore ghost
