Getting Ping Timeouts from Cisco 2948G-L3.
Hello,

I have Cisco 2948G-L3, the problem i am facing is that i am not getting ping response from the router. The senerio is that i have configured 192.168.1.1/24 in fa 1 and 192.168.1.5/24 in directly connected PC. Router is also sensing the port status, when i plug the cable in it, it shows port up and vise versa. One unusual thing i noticed is that when the router boots it shows following message:

[strong]"00:03:21: ls_ipc_sendbcast2wire: No Mlet code for type: 111"[/strong]

waiting for your response.

Thanks

Answer Wiki:
Are you using a straight through or cross over cable? Have you tried both types or another cable alltogether? ------------ Sounds like you're using a straight-through cable on 2 "like devices" (PC and router). Try using a crossover cable if you need to wire a PC directly to your router FA interfaces...
