Unless you are the administrator of the router, and you have forgotten the password, you can reset the router to the factory default settings by pressing the button in the back and holding it for ten seconds. Then the user name is blank and the password is admin, but then you will have to reset all of the configurations again. Enjoy.

Before anything else, who owns and configures the LinkSys? The security scheme on the LinkSys might not be supported on the iPad. In order to make my last system work, I had to upgrade my router wireless security level. It was previously at the lowest (and oldest) setting because I have no concern over anyone being close enough to access it due to my location. I probably could have found a way to make it work; but configuring the router to suit my device was easiest, rather than configuring the device to match the router. — Tom
