Get company names out of address book

how can I create an agent which is replicating a new added company name and the contact data out of the address book to a different db (like a company db) and vice versa. the issue is that the "company db" contains different kind of info like projects, status reports, etc. related to a certain company. all the time a new company is added to the address book or a new company with contact details is create in the company db, we would like to have them synchronized with the address book.
