 Get around ISP restrictions on port forwarding
Firmware, Internet service providers, Port forwarding, SMC, Windows
Our ISP has crippled out SMC residential gateway to block the port forwarding and parental controls. We can not even get to the web interface. I assume it has been flashed with a different firmware. How can I get around this and do port forwarding?

If you cannot get to the web/telnet interface how do you expect to be able to flash firmware?
Some solutions, get a new modem, best buy sells them or look online if you can wait. You might want to look at switching to a different isp as well

What is the isp? is this cable, dsl, something else?
