Generic TCIP Print Server to talk to AS400/ISeries/I5
We are unable to get the AS400 to talk to a generic D-Link TCPIP Print Server. We can ping from the 400, but we cannot print to it. We setup a remote writer and the spool just stays in a "send" status. Can this be done, if so how? thanks, Mark

This may/May not help. but per IBM article... http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=nas194e73364f979e388862569030071c398 dlink does not support the protocol needed to communicate to the AS/400 spool services. But I was able to at least send data to a d-link DP300 via LPD using the Queue name of "LPT1_TEXT". The config for this would be: CRTOUTQ OUTQ(QTEMP/TEMP) RMTSYS(*INTNETADR) RMTPRTQ(LPT1_TEXT) CNNTYPE(*IP) DESTTYPE(*OTHER) MFRTYPMDL(*HP6) INTNETADR('192.168.1.1') You can add a workstation customizing object if you need to change the EOL character as well depending on your printer...
