Generating Contracts Documents Automatically in Microsoft Access
I am in a project that is expected to build a Contracts system.. The idea is that because of standard format of contracts documents (Schedules , amendment, letter.. etc), the system is supposed to use these standards documents to generate customized contracts, edit them, provide choices of some terms or policy, store equipment names and services, and generate reports. I planned to use MS access to build this system, but I want to know is this software is capable to do such functions ? Are there better software which can do the functions and cost-less and easy to learn?

Answer Wiki:
It is possible, but plenty of coding will be required. I am currently working on a project that is creating contracts based on Access data. You can use the mail merge process to combine documents and get data from MS Access. The only problem is that if the data starts growing beyond 100000 rows (contracts), tracking will be needed, so be sure to keep that in mind. Is it possible yes. Is it seamless? kinda. But it gets the job done using a front end and plenty of good coding on the backend.
