GDG restoration from tape backup

hi, can anyone please tell me iwant to restore generation which is multi-volume (G0001V00) from tape on dasd with renameu option.and i have tried with first creation with base gdg nad without base also. i m getting this error(G0001V00 IS A MULTIVOLUME DATA SET ).can anyone share the jcl.
