If I live in California and send files via FTP to Chicago, what time Zone will be reflected for Upload and received?

Answer Wiki

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

By default, FTP files take on the local time when they are written to the destination (whether uploading or downloading).

Some FTP clients have the option to disable this using a setting called ‘preserve modification times’.

I believe the date/time will be recorded where the ending file resides. If you are doing a "PUT" it would be the local date and time on the target. If you are doing a "GET" it would be the local date and time of the receiving host.
