luismereb, do you have the iSeries Navigator (IBM iSeries Access for Windows) installed on your workstation? If so, you can click and drag spool files to your desktop and view them with an EBCDIC reader. Information on this product can be found at http://www-1.ibm.com/servers/esdd/articles/opsnav/index.html

If you live outside the United States, by submitting your email address you consent to having your personal data transferred to and processed in the United States.
Check out Linoma Software’s product called Surveyor. You can do lots of things with it including exporting Spoolfiles to PDF, Text, or Excel format!
Contact Brian Pick at bjpick@linomasoftware.com
or look their website at http://www.linoma.com
You have number of freeware and shareware for that, go to http://www.help400.de/Eng/Freeware.htm if you need freeware.
BTW, anyone knows for good software that can convert into PDF files for example, all spool files from one Output Queue?

Try Gumbo Software SpoolMail and Spool-a-Matic. http://www.gumbo.com/products.html
kholder, thanks, I forgot to write that I’m looking for free SW which can convert all spool files from one Queue…
Since your looking for something for free, then use the same technique that you’d use for FTPing a spooled file in Windows.
Research the APIs and start coding.
Start with the Spooled File APIs.

Try http://www.Spoolfactory.com
This is a very nice and cheep solution, there you can setup rules to make automatic conversion of spooled files to PDF, TXT, HTML or EXCEL.
Worth to try it.
