Does the transfer fail when the message appears, or is it only a note in the joblog? What OS level is running? What is the TCP/IP group PTF level? -- Tom

AFAIK, it's only an informational note that this is not a secure connection. It's plain FTP connection. As long as you're not actually requesting Secure FTP, there's nothing to be done. Now, if the transfer actually fails when this message appears, that would be a different situation. You're at the most current TCP/IP fix level for i 7.1, so there is no automatic suppression of the message. If a configuration option exists, it might show up; but otherwise I'd ignore it. -- Tom

It's going to be at least a couple weeks before I have i 7.1 available for me again, so I can't do specific testing. However I have seen similar or the same messages many times on previous releases. It's never been anything but informational (unless a secure transfer is requested). Because it's never caused a problem, I've had no reason to look deeper. It's never appeared to be a cause of any delay. Instead I would think of it as a symptom of a delay condition rather than a cause. Investigating the causes of delays is your best direction for searches. -- Tom
