From Supplier Enablement to SAP SRM?

Supplier relationship management, Supply chain management applications, Content management applications, Catalog software, Procurement, Purchase order management

I currently hold the position of Supplier Enablement, Functional Consultant and my primary functions is working with suppliers and buyers during e-Catalog implementations using a catalog hosting application system. Other duties include help desk phone support , trainings, Content Management by cleaning data, project management, etc.

My question is, if I want to move to the next level of my career, where should I start? I don't see many positions out there with Supplier Enablement experience. Will SAP SRM be a field I should start to focus on? If so, what should be my plan of action? Get certified first? And then what? Will a company even consider me if I have no experience working with SAP SRM, yet have a certication? Will my experience with Supplier Enablement help me? If so, how?

I am confused as you can see. Any guidance to see the light, I would be greatly appreciated!!
