 French windows xp sp2 vmware on ESX 3.5 server performance problem

I have VMware ESX Server 3.5.0 server and i am accessing it from VMware infrastructure client version 2.5.0. I created a new virtual machine with french windows xp sp2 using LSI logic controller following the instructions on the below link: http://searchvmware.techtarget.com/tip/0,289483,sid179_gci1357411_mem1,00.html The installation went ok, but windows is too slow... it seems there is a problem with the refresh or VGA. Any help would be much appreciated... Thanks

Install VMware tools and set the hardware acceleration to full in Display Properties -> settings tab -> Advanced -> Troubleshoot tab.

I already installed VMware tools and set the hardware acceleration to full but i forgot to mention that yesterday…

Any other suggestions?

If you have Hyperthreading turned on in the ESX host’s BIOS, try turning that off. In certain conditions, we’ve seen significant performance hits with HT on.
