Free Database Hosting Services

I'm looking to develop a few small web apps. I'm looking to have a few of my IT friends and family be my beta testers. What I need is a site where I can have a small hosted database that I can put in the app so they all can use it. Can anyone recommend a few alternatives? I use to have a site at GoDaddy but I can not afford a full blown hosting site any longer as my wife's medication leaves very little disposable income..

Since you're posting here, does that mean you have an ISP at home? Or are you only connecting through a work/office network? If at home, does your ISP account offer anything as part of the account or for smaller fees? (Do you have a budget amount?)

Wish I did have a budget. Money is very tight.I'd check with my ISP (Comcast/Xfinity) but paying a fortune for television and internet now. I don't have any movie channels either and it's close to 130.00 month. Wife's meds run 450 - 600. Add that on top of all the other bills and a single income every dollar counts. Someone mentioned a site AppHarbor but those sites have small limits. It would be nice if these "free" cloud sites like google drive, one cloud could be used to host a database.

Have looked at the AWS free tier?

Hi, carlosdl . Mostly passing through to see any changes (that I feel ought to be done). But checking this thread to say your comment got me thinking I'd create an AWS account to do some testing. Also, "free database hosting" needs some clarification. To me, "database" is probably different from what many others might think.

@TheRealRaven: I'd ideally like a site where I can put a database for all team members to be able to access thru my app without having to host in on my own PC. This is because the IP can change at any time. I would not need more than say 100meg to be safe. This is just for testing and feedback. If it goes well then I would raise the monthly dues by a dollar to cover a full blown web hosting site. I had Go Daddy a few years back, and it was good. My only issue with them is no toll free number for support. I do not have unlimited calling so this can get to be expensive if you have issues you cannot resolve.
