What are some free automatic backup applications for a windows small network? We want to back up all PST files and My Documents. We do not want the end user to have to do anything.
There is the Amanda Community edition which is an Open Source backup tool that includes a windows client. You can get more information from their website at http://amanda.zmanda.com/. You can also use Bacula which is another open source network backup solution that includes a Windows client. You can get more information about it from: http://www.bacula.org/en/.

If you live outside the United States, by submitting your email address you consent to having your personal data transferred to and processed in the United States.
Heres a Open souce FREE sofware………..any1 should take advantage of it…you can download it for free and works perfectly fine for your automatic backup in windows Network. http://cobian-backup.en.softonic.com/
Cobian Backup is a multi-threaded program that can be used to schedule and backup your files and directories from their original location to other directories/drives in the same computer or other computer in your network. FTP backup is also supported in both directions (download and upload).
The program uses very few resources and can be running on the background on your system, checking your backup schedule and executing your backups when necessary. Have FUN!!!!!!
