Forwarding of mail from third party application from Notes to Exchange

We currently use Exchange for primary mail and Lotus Notes/Domino to utilize a third party document control application. This application sends mail based upon the Domino Directory, but only to Notes clients. I need these mail messages to be forwarded to Exchange. I have tried configuring the forward feature in the users Person Doc, and this works for the normal mail function if the recipients name is added manually. I also edited the users "User Name" attribute in the person doc so the mail would be forwarded correctly (with all links/html etc) if the name was selected from the NAB. The problem however is that the third party app apparently is looking for a specific name format in the NAB when sending mail (FirstLastDOMAIN) and chokes on anything else (FirstLast@DOMAIN.COM). Any clue as to what may be causing this is appreciated.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

You’re saying that if you put the user’s Exchange email address in the “Forwarding address:” field of the person doc in the Notes public address book, it doesn’t work? Weird. I would think that would be all you’d need.

In any case, have you tried setting up a rule in the user’s mail file, with the action being set to “send copy to” and then putting in the user’s Exchange email address?
