how do I setup forwarding roles to an external address in exchange 2010

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

You can either do this at the Outlook application level using rules or at the Exchange Server level using Transport rules. I don’t recommend this though because you can end up with email loops that take down the mail servers. I learned this through painful first hand experience after which we disallowed automatic forwarding on accounts to external mail accounts.

There r several ways to setting rules in exchange server 2010. they r.... Mailbox Server: This is a back-end server that hosts mailboxes, public folders, and related messaging data. Client Access Server: This is a middle-tier server that accepts connections to Exchange Server from a variety of clients. Unified Messaging Server: This is also a middle-tier server, but integrates a private branch exchange system Hub Transport Server: This is a mail routing server that handles mail flow, rout¬ing, and delivery within the Exchange organization. Edge Transport Server: This serves as an additional mail routing server that routes mail into and out of the Exchange organization. I agree with Technochic, there may be problem using the rule that mentioned !
