Word 07 only allows the form items such as radio buttons and checkboxes only to be used when Password Protection is on for the document. Go to Review / Protect Document / Restrict Formatting and Editing / “Yes, Start Enforcing Protection”.

If you need to reformat or edit your form, you have to turn off the protection, then turn it back on. And, if you have your cursor sitting in the field you are trying to edit, and there is already info in that field, you will lose that info and the field will reset itself to blank, so watch out for losing info.

I am using Word 2007. I opened a new document, inserted a table, typed in some questions, inserted some text fields, inserted some radio buttons and saved it as a template. When I try to use the document, I cant get past the radio buttons. I tried replacing them with check boxes and I have the same problem.

Is this really a Word 2007 form ?
What exactly do you mean by ‘I can’t access successive fields’ ?
What version of Windows are you using ?
Was this working before ? did you make changes ?
