Low level formatting for Microsoft Vista
Vista installation, Microsoft Vista, Hard drives
I reinstalled vista os in hope of reinstalling a fresh copy of program, but the program installation it keeps on detecting old copy of this program.
I had formatted both drives on machines.
How can i remove these hidden program copies?
Is there a better way of formatting?

I suspect there may be a hidden partition on the drive, that has the OS loaded onto it.

The safest way to make sure that there is absolutely nothing on the drives is to low level format it. Have a look on the manufacturer's website, and see if there is a utility there to do that. This is the step before the Windows format, and will actually write the sectors to the disk, so it will really kill anything that is there before.

I am sure other people will also have advice on this, so you may want to also try their options.

Which program are you having a problem with?

After formatting both drives and a reinstall of vista, it is hard to believe that there is still something left. Most likely it is a registry key, but reinstalling vista would have fixed it.

It is called dentrix ( a dental practice management software)
How to look for registry key for the programme if there is any left.

It is possible that the installer can detect a server or networked installation of the software. Is that the only machine you have the software installed on?
