My phone's SD card has been infected with virus. Thus I want to format my SD card only, without formatting my internal disk too. Is there any method that I can use to format it or do I have to format it using PC? If there isn't any, how do I format it using my PC?

Software/Hardware used:
there is one suspicious file with .mp4.crdownload extension

What makes you think you have a virus? What symptoms are you experiencing? What make and model phone? It may be nothing and I’d hate to see you go through a lot of needless work and possibly lose data in the process. That file extension is for a Chrome Partially Downloaded File. Not a virus.

How did you know that your SD card is virus infected? Generally, on any mobile (either Android/iOS/Windows) never infect by viruses for their mechanism. This OSs have enough built-in mechanism that can resist viruses. Assuming your SD card might infected, while used in another PC/laptop through memory card slot/card adapter, if any. It is better to use the same procedure to insert the card on a laptop/PC and format the same. But before format, think twice, you never get any files/folders/photos/videos back again.
