Format painter not working in Word 2007
User cannot do the double-click to maintain format painter as turned on to format multiple items within a document. Format painter only does one click to format one request at a time. We uninstalled and reinstalled Word 2007 from MS Office package and it worked once on first try, then did not work after that. At a loss as to why this is not working with XP platform--double-click function works fine on Vista/Word 2007 on user's home laptop.

Answer Wiki:
Using Word 2010 - if the Ribbon is set to auto-hide, double-clicking on Format Painter will not allow formatting of multiple selections. To work around this, either leave the Ribbon permanently visible, or add Format Painter to the Quick Access Toolbar.
