CISCONetwork writes
you can use the cmos password breaker software

an example of one I found (I'm gathering Portable apps) which will run off of any outboard drive (and I far as I can tell has NO SPYWARE Attached, which is important for things like this and other toolkit portable apps, can be found at http://geocities.com/sjwoolham/

Hope this helps

As a one-time owner of a Toshiba Service Center, there are several different answers depending on the model. Your local service center has a device that needs to be plugged in, on some models. Others have 2 unmarked solder spots that need to be jumped (along with some other steps which I don't recall.)
Toshiba used to promote shipping the unit to the regonal service center; for what ever reason, but most larger cities have authorized service providers that are supplied the support info for each model, and can fix this for a modest fee.

you can use the cmos password breaker software, by booting your sytem in dos mode (only if you don't provided bootup password).

If bootup password is provided that the only option is to remove the cmos battary of your motherboard.
