		<description><![CDATA[The easiest way to do this would be to have an agent update each new document with the sequential number. Have the agent run on only one server so that there&#039;s no chance of the other servers interfering.
Keep track of the last number used in a separate document (could be a profile document), and update as each new document is assigned a number.

It needs to be unique, sequential.
How is it used? When an user create a new document
What versions of Notes Client &amp; Server are involved? All in version 7
Is this a web application? No
Can the number be assigned later by the server in the background? Yes, It doesn&#039;t need to be created when the user open a new form.
Are there replicas of the database? Just whit 3 server, and this need to replycate which time that a new form was created.
