Group Policy- folders on redirected desktop not appearing

GPO, Windows Server 2003, Group Policy

Hello.

I have successfully redirected the desktop for our users. I want to create folders on the desktop and place shortcuts in the folders.

I have created folders in the directory that is used as the redirected desktop but they do not appear for the users. Shortcuts placed directly in the desktop directory (i.e. not in a subfolder) appear correctly, though.

Can this be done? I'm hoping I am just missing something simple.

Thanks.

Hi,

Have u created a shared folder in the server and configured in the gpo in such a way that it will create subfolder for each and every user? If yes
until and unless u take the ownership for the concerned user's folder, u can't access that folder. After making the chenges to the folder u should give the ownership back to that concerned user. Esure that security permissions will aplly to the subfolders tree as well.. Hope this will work for u...

If u have any concerns please let us know.

Thanks
