I have Windows server 2003, domain controller and i shared a folder for all in our local domain but now its difficult to trace who accessing that particular folder and copying unwanted files to that particular folder

Hi,
I have Windows server 2003, domain controller and i shared a folder for all in our local domain but now its difficult to trace who accessing that particular folder and copying unwanted files to that particular folder. I want to trace particular user can you help me to find the solution.

You will want to enable the folder access auditing on the server. This will audit access to all files and folders on the machine, so you'll want to disable it when you have found the person. You can also look at the file owner. This should be the person who dropped the file into the folder. Right click on the file and select properties. The ownership tab will show who is the current owner of the file.
