Hi friends, I need some advice about folder permission: 1)in the folder how to hide the security information & block everyone from write & delete folder & file & everyone only has read permission 2)how to allow only selected user to update file but everyone only has read permission Thank you.     If this file is a shared file on the network; Go to its properties, click the security tab, click Edit Button, Add users and lastly set the access privileges to each users under the permission system( this is done by selecting each user group and check below under permission system, usually group in two columns and check on under Allow or Deny.). Folders can be locked/and unlock by software. such software are called Folder lock which can be downloaded from the internet. for more information open up to the community.
